How can giving money save money?

You know that you can lower your home utility bills with water & energy saving upgrades.
Imagine how much energy & water a synagogue or JCC could save by making similar changes.

Support our community-wide effort and protect our planet for future generations, l'dor vador. EcoJews is providing needed assistance to inspire and empower hundreds of local Jewish organizations to "go green(er)", and your contributions to our work will be matched until we raise $30,000!

As we have begun to see the devastating effects of climate change and drought, we must take action today.

The Bay Area is proud to be one of the greenest parts of the nation, so it should be natural for the over 600 Jewish organizations here to make a strong statement for environmental protection. Your donation and a generous matching gift will help fund our greening program, the EcoJews TREES Initiative: Torah for Repairing the Environment and Educating Stewards.

Services we offer include sustainability workshops, consulting, online resources and volunteer recruitment. TREES can help Jewish organizations engage the community in new ways and save thousands of dollars on utility bills.

Your gift of $18 or more will be doubled for the first $30,000 we raise, thanks to an anonymous donor's matching gift challenge. To donate today, please visit http://aytzim.org/take-action/join and designate EcoJews. Donations are tax deductible.

How the Matching Gift Challenge works:

If you donate $18, your gift will be matched for a total contribution of $36. That $36 will help two Jewish organizations send staff or volunteers to a workshop on energy upgrades.

Donate $180 for a matching total of $360, which will fund a training on sustainability audits for Jewish institutions.

Donate $1000 for a matching total of $2000, which can provide hands-on consulting to four synagogues.

Please email ilana(at)ecojews.org to pledge today.
